Sorry for the non-french:

I'm still confused about this whole thing. There's zero advantages in transplanting a genuine game ROM to a yellowed out F1 Circus '91 hucard, and finding a stock of those lying around somewhere is impossible. I think that one of the following is happening here:

1. Hit Japan is retarded
2. Somehow he managed to solder an EEPROM die over the original mask ROM under that epoxy blob
3. Hit Japan is trying some kind of new retarded scam to charge lots of $$$ for hucards, so stupid it's incomprehensible
4. Hit Japan is retarded

Investigating 2 would involve removing that epoxy blob with chemicals to check it out, which is 100x easier than decapping a MCU or security chip and is doable. That would end our doubts once and for all, and also prove 1 and 4 if 2 is wrong.

I don't think Hit Japan are that retarded, but their business logic doesn't make sense either.

It's also been proven that the epoxy sticker has been tampered with and the EEPROM seem genuine, which means that for some unfathomable reasons the whole epoxy+ROM has been swapped with another one of the same size. Who would be crazy or gullible enough to buy such a frankencard?

Yeah, we really didn't come to any viable conclusions... Where those hucards are coming from is quite a mystery and any assumptions of forgery are immediately countered by the high cost of the process. Same thing about the assumption of original factories producing testing samples, the cost wouldn't make it.

About 2/, RedField1 checked this assumption but he didn't find anything wrong with the original ROMs, no EEPROMs, nothing has been tampered with.

So, I believe that 3/ is the most plausible explanation lol
