Basically, how do I make Turbo Rip, rip the music from games, or even regular cd's, into mp3's instead of waves? I just can't figure it out, & I don't recall seeing any instructions on this, unless I missed them?
Nevermind, I found the documentation
Hmm, it's still ripping them as wav's. I type turborip/2/hugox is that correct?
As I probably mentioned before, it's for a Xak tribute site, where SkyWelse has a section dedicated to all action/rpg's, so, he's going to try out all the Turbo ones I suggested. And he plays them on his Xbox, so when you can help, I'd appreciate it.
That's it and you could've emailed me this or posted the question on my site to have gotten a faster response. If I'm not mistaken though, you showed up at MagicEngine and we handled your problem with correctly typing parameters there? Yeah, I think I helped you already on this.
Can somebody who still is in touch with Squaresoft74 let him know that I need the latest zip archives of all PCE and PCFX TOC files ?? Thanks!
I wanted to add some PCFX support with the next version of TurboRip I'm working on to be released by August 8 to support the Zeroigar fan translation project.
My account appears to be limited and I can't create new topics, so I had to find an old TurboRip thread to post this.
All the accounts on NECstasy forum have the same access and can create new topics here. But Squaresoft74 doesn't often come here. As Redfield1 said, we can just send him an email and wait.
But the PC-FX TOCs available on the NECstasy page are all checked.
For PCE, we just have:
507 CDs known
501 TOCs available
496 TOCs checked.
To be sure, I will check your account on this forum.
It looks like he added 2 new PCFX TOCs since the last time he gave me a full zip of everything he had. If you could tell him to give me all CUE files as well, that would be helpful too since I wanna know what CDs have unusual pregaps (the oddball PREGAP 04:00 for example). I won't be able to improve TurboRip enough to make it in time for that PCFX Zeroigar translation project to detect gaps/indexes properly, so the 3 second/2 second gap rule will still be hardcoded which limits TurboRip's accuracy with oddball CDs. So it'll still be as good as before in that regard but it will be upgraded to use the SPTI library for SCSI commands, so no more stupid ASPI DLLs for everything above Windows NT/XP/2K/Vista/7/8, etc. Will be much more stable now.
Hi NightWolve and everybody
Just to let you know i did get Redfield1's mail so i'll check for the PC-FX files i should still have somewhere.
I may also have a few other PCE TOCs i never added to the main site such as different print of some games or Akiyama Jin no Suugaku Mystery (unconfirmed since i couldn't get in touch with the dumper at the time i got the files, but looks ok).
