Bon jour! Can anyone here (Kaminari!) help me figure out how to use ChipPlay (1.0) (Mac OSX). I think I need to use an HES player plug-in, but I am a total newbie when it comes to this stuff.

I am sure it is an easy process, but I've never played chiptunes on my computer before (PC, mac), so this is new territory. Post a link to a general FAQ and I'll be happy :)

You'll laugh, but up till now, I've been listening to chiptunes on audio cassettes (I would record music from a console, manually).

Thanks in advance...

UPDATE: OK, upon further investigation, I found Audio Overload (Mac OSX) and I'm listening to SNES tunes. I am happy. Now I gotta find HES files :)

Hi Steve!

I wouldn't know because I don't own a Mac, but I think ChipPlay natively supports HES without any plugin. Although ChipPlay and Audio Overload are based on NEZplug, to my knowledge they don't support the NEZplug playlist format. Which is a shame because Mac users can't benefit from my playlists... Tough it might be possible to convince Richard Bannister to have a look at it.

Anyway, for your daily dose of HES goodness: Kaminarimon, RX-Files, HES Music Files. Happy listening :)

Thanks! Yes, I was trying to use your playlists (doh!) and nothing was happening. I'll have to hop on a PC and check that out. :)
